In an attempt to gain more sales for the Zune and scare people out of purchasing the new iPhone; Microsoft has harnessed the power of Earth's weather. According to this article on Yahoo, Mac Fanboys in the US and Canada have been involved in freak lightning strikes while wearing their iPod. This news comes only a few months after reports of large numbers of people being hit by cars while wearing their iPods in public. Could Microsoft be behind this as well or could it be that Windows mobile GPS is just prone to frequent crashes?

In any case, wearing an iPod just doesn't seem safe anymore. I for one will be turning mine in to be properly disposed and replaced with a much safer MP3 player. Like the Zune!
